So it has been a while since I posted anything. I guess there hasn't been much to report. I have a bunch of red slime algea growing now. I need to get some Phosban or something (a few more water changes would go a long way too I suppose) All the fish are still just fine though. Maybe I'll have some more money to devote to them in a month or two. |

I got a False Percula Clown Fish last weekend. I am absolutely not going to name it Nemo :) Though it is a cute little fish. The yellow damsel was trying to punk it at first, but things have settled and everyone has their turf established now. As soon as I can I will get a host anemone for him/her to hang with. |

The 40 gallon is up and running. I moved the live stock in last night, and everybody seems to be healthy and happy today. I'm waiting for FedEx to show up with my filter parts. I ordered a new motor, impeller assembly and ceramic bio media for my AquaClear 200. That should keep things nice and clean until I can afford the Fluval 305 that I want. I also replaced the bulb in my fixture with a 50/50 bulb. I need to get another for the 18" lamp now. With a 24" and 18" 50/50 setup, I should be set to start getting some corals ... we shall see. |

Ok, so I'm moving up a little bit on the food chain so to speak. Last weekend I picked up a SeaClear 40 gallon acrylic tank. I need to get a piece of plywood cut to go over the stand before I can start setting it up. I guess that with an acrylic tank you have to have a solid top for the stand otherwise you will flex the tank. Anyhow I've double my capacity and look forward to moving everybody into the new aquarium. |

I picked up a scooter blenny last weekend. It is totally sweet the way it scurries around on the rocks and sand pick up little bits of food. I was a bit woried that it would get under all the rock and never come out, but so far "little scooter" seems to be pretty active and out in the open and has made a great addition to my tank. |
